A Few Good Ideas is the latest incarnation for Christopher McKinnon who has contributed to the successful production of dozens
of film, television, and video projects on both U.S. coasts. He has successfully completed the certificate program for Feature
Film Screenwriting at UCLA Extension. He feels this education will help to achieve his goal in the development and production
of feature films, including the screenplays and treatments he is currently writing.
For over eight years, Christopher
was a partner in 2EZ, a full-service production company specializing in commercials for the Japanese market. He and his partner
founded the company in 1996 and were solvent and profitable for the entire eight years—no easy task in entertainment! On
various projects, Christopher has held the titles of: producer, director, line producer, production manager, location manager,
music supervisor, technical director, cameraman, and writer.
Career highlights include: his directorial debut for
the 80s boy band New Kids on the Block music video; production management of a music movie Kla$h filmed entirely in Jamaica;
production of projects on location in over a dozen U.S. cities and five foreign countries; and licensing of U.S. and Australian
films and TV programs to the home video market in Japan.
A native of Boston, Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science
in Engineering from Northeastern University; and, immediately upon graduating, began freelancing on video projects within
the non-profit/ community service realm. Several years and many productions later, music, literature, music video and feature
film still serve as his main inspirations.
